Privacy
This site is run by Dakota Carver. It collects as little as it can: only what you choose to send.
What I collect
- Messages and quote requests. When you send a form, I receive your name, email address, and anything optional you add: a website or business name, a message, and your price finder answers and estimate.
- Price finder answers. While you use the price finder, your answers are kept in your own browser's session storage so you don't lose them. They are not sent anywhere unless you submit the form, and they disappear when you close the tab.
- Server logs. Like every website, the hosting provider records basic technical details of each request, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver and secure the site.
This site has no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not sell or share personal information for advertising.
Why
I use what you send only to reply to you, prepare a quote, and work on a project with you if we agree to one.
Services that receive it
- Formspree receives form submissions and forwards them to my email.
- Vercel hosts the site and keeps the server logs described above.
- Calendly loads only when you click a “Book a call” link. Calendly then handles the booking and may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
- Email. Messages you send end up in my business email inbox.
How long I keep it
I keep inquiries for as long as they're useful for a conversation or project, and delete them when you ask.
Your choices
Email workshop@dakotacarver.com to see, correct or delete what I have about you. Browsers' “Do Not Track” signals don't change anything here, because the site doesn't track you across other websites.
Changes
If this changes, for example if analytics are added, this page will be updated first, with a new date at the top.
